HOME HEALTH AIDE (HHA)
The Home Health Aide is an unlicensed paraprofessional worker specifically oriented to give personal care and assist in the care of the ill/aged, under the guidance and supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse or Licensed Therapist. The HHA provides assistance with personal hygiene, housekeeping, and other related supportive tasks to a patient with health care needs in patient’s home.
PERSONAL CARE AIDE (PCA)
The Personal Care Aide is an unlicensed, paraprofessional worker generally limited to providing non- medical services like companionship, cleaning, and cooking, to give personal care, and assist in the care of the ill/aged under the guidance and supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse or Licensed Therapist. The PCA provides assistance with nutritional and environmental support, personal hygiene, and/or as an extension of a self-directing patient.
HOMEMAKER and HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES
The aim is to provide a clean and livable home by a homemaker aide or a housekeeping aide to help manage clients’ living environment. These services are provided for clients requiring assistance and direction in managing and maintaining their household or assistance with keeping a clean and healthy environment. A medical order is not required for non-nursing services: homemaking/housekeeping. The nurse evaluates the appropriateness of services to ensure the placement of an appropriate level of caregiving. RN communicates with the client and family every 6 months and as needed based on the specific identified needs of the client.

Include but not limited to: assistance with meal preparation, light housekeeping and preparation of minor household budgets.
